Books that I’m looking forward to coming out in 2016

Most of these books are continuations of a series.  I need to stop buying so many books. So I made a rule not to buy any new series or standalones. Though I do plan to buy Rick Riordan’s new series about Apollo next year which means I already plan on breaking my new rule.

  1. The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater

I’m super excited for this book because the previous books in this series are amazing. The series is unique and amazing. Though this is the last book in the Raven Cycle and I’m sad for it to end.

  1. The Last Star by Rick Yancey

Like the one above this is the final book of a series which is The 5th Wave. I am really excited for this book but I need to re-read the other two books to refresh my memory. I’m ecstatic to see how this ends and for Cassie to be an epic badass.

  1. The Fate of Tearling by Erika Johansen

This one I cannot wait to come out. I love this series, all of the books are very interesting and the book covers are beautiful. I love watching Kelsea journey from a young girl into a woman. I am sad for this journey to end but I think it will have an explosive ending.

So these are the three books that I can’t wait for. What all these books have in common is that it is the final book of that series. I’m sad about that because I just love these characters and stories. But they will put out more books that I can’t wait to read in the future.

2015 December TBR

This TBR is not set in stone but these are the three books I hope to read this month. The reason why is that I have been in a reading slump.
1. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austin. Marianne Dashwood meet the handsome John Wiloughby. With this romance Marianne is impulsive which leaves her to be socially criticise. Elinor Dashwood her sister warns her against the romance but Marianne ignores her. This leaves her to experiencing what every teenage girl does.
I have already started reading this book. I’m loving it so far and I didn’t expect to since classics are not what I’m usually interested in reading. What I have read so far I find relatable because who hasn’t experience heart break. Overall it is really good and I want to read more of Jane Austin’s books.
2. The Chess Queen Enigma by Colleen Gleason. This is the third book in the Stoker & Holmes series. So I will explain the first book The Clockwork Scarab, its about Evaline Stoker the sister of Bram Stocker and Mina Holmes the niece of Sherlock Holmes. Evaline is a vampire hunter and Mina is like her famous uncle. They join forces to solve a murder.
I’m really looking forward to reading this book as I love the first two books. I love that the two girls are strong females. The story is great and unpredictable whenever I think something is going to happen the unexpected happens. This is a great series and I highly recommend it to people who enjoy mystery and are looking for something different, I have never read anything like this before.
3. The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan. This is the first book in the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. Magnus’s mother died which leaves him alone and having to survive on his own in Boston. He is discovered by a man who tells him a secret. He is a son of a Norse god and that the Viking’s legends are true.
I’m very excited about this novel as I love every book of Riordan’s that I read. From the synopsis this is going to be very much like the Percy Jackson series. I can’t wait to read Magnus’s journey which will be enjoyable.
